Why isn't anyone calling the "Fiscal Cliff" what it really is? A made up deadline created by the GOP to try and get what they want? It has zero consitiution value, beyond it being a law (is it even that?) that congress passed. AND it was the recomendation by the "Super Committee" another nonconstituional item created to create a "Fiscal Cliff".

Seriously, for all those on the right who are so damn worried about the constitution they sure seem to fucking ingore it when it doesn't fit their needs.

If you want to know what is going on read "Shock Doctrine" by one of the two liberal Naomi's (can't remember the last name)

It rhymes with honey and starts with M.

Such a polite traitor.

If the GOP hasn't spun into a thousand fractures yet, adding a $2000 to $3000 tax bill to middle class households will turn the US into a one party country.
5
Don't panic. Norquist is due to be caught having sex with an 11-year old in about 10 minutes.
6
Gurldoggie: You can predict what scandal a Republican will be caught in by what they attack. Thus, anti-gay homophobes are caught with wide stances or rent boys. Family values hypocrites turn out to be child molesters. Forced birth fetus freaks had all their mistresses get abortions. And Rethuglicans fighting social programs are found to have been sucking at the public teat on the scale of millions of dollars.

All that is to say I don't think Norquist will be found to be a child molester. He's making money from the government while opposing the government.

The 2011 debt limit standoff will cost taxpayers $18.9 billion in higher interest payments over the next decade, according to a new analysis from the Bipartisan Policy Center. What a great fiscally conservative idea. Let's do it every month!

Why does anyone think republicans are fiscally conservative?

They haven't been fiscally conservative for decades.

The debt ceiling is based on shit the last republican presidents put on the national credit card in massive spending sprees. It's simply paying for all the toys they bought... and now they're threatening to not pay their own bills.

At least the democrats are "tax and spend," at least the democrats raise taxes to pay for the shit they buy.

Republicans are just "spend and spend and if anyone complains, bomb some brown people to create a distraction."

Republicans are NOT FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE. Democrats are.

Must be tough waking up and ruining the KKKuntree every day.

The Fiscal Cliff is really a speed bump.

Unless you are ALREADY Rich, it's the cost of a latte once a month.

And if you are Rich, it's just a return to 39% tax from 34% tax (apx).

Now, what actually freaks out the markets is: it makes hedge fund execs pay 28% cap gains instead of 15%, caps their mistresses' 401k at an amount most people could never save, and the oncoming Debt Ceiling Cap and automatic increase in Social Security and Medicare tax Caos means rich people might have to pay Some of the taxes they owe.

I think he meant to say, "Here's your allowance, boy..."

I'm pretty sure it's his weekly conference calls with everyone from Congressional staffers, to Rush Limbaugh's people, to most of Fox News show's producers, that produce the weekly talking points that everyone sticks to, lest Rush et. al., put them on blast, and open to a primary challenge from the Tea Party. But that's just a guess.
13
Such an ugly ugly man.

(I don't mean his face).
14
The whole debt ceiling concept itself is completely insane. It's like not paying your credit card bill after you've already done the spending. The House is in charge of the budget, so the Republicans pass an unbalanced budget that requires billions in borrowing. Then they refuse to authorize the borrowing. They're fucking crazy. And stupid. And hypocritical, as well. If Grover Norquist doesn't want taxes to go up, then make him propose a balanced budget. That would sink him right quick.
15
@8: The Republicans have no idea how to handle money, and that's been proved over and over again. Fiscally conservative doesn't mean that they're actually fiscally conservative, it's a dog whistle for "kill the poor"
16
what a motherfucking prick.
17
@8 Once upon a time, I dated a hardcore Republican. I was 22 at the time. He told me that Republicans were fiscally conservative. I laughed at him, and ask him "since when?" He told me that that was their party platform. I told him that the national debt has gotten deeper with every Republican since I was born. He paused, and then said "that is true." I asked him why he thought that Republicans were fiscally responsible, if that was the case. He said that was what they stood on, historically. I told him that what he believed was bullshit.

So far, I have not been proven wrong.

What's wrong with Armageddon?

I am looking forward to it.

>>How is this man who has never held elected office one of the most powerful Republicans in the nation?<<

He gives really good blowjobs.
20
I heard him on NPR this morning and he makes me forget our humanity. He's obsessed with government spending by raw numbers and laughs at percentages. So he's a republican dream. Probably a wet dream at that. A wet dream thats about to cost them the election again, maybe once the democrats wipe the floor with him again he'll learn to keep his mouth shut or learn to lie better, like always.
21
Because Republican politicians - say like Mitt's father about Viet Nam - have been brainwashed. They are spineless, selfish and easily seduced into fucking over their constituents and robotic devotees. Regard Cantor, that vulture hanging over Boehner's shoulder, eagerly awaiting Boehner's demise due to bronze poisoning so that he can succeed him into the office of Majority Obstructionist.
22
How can we start to fight this guy...outing his few billionaire backers and exposing this fake religion for the Republican Party? Is anyone creating U-Tube video's showing what a fraud this guy is? The news is only stoking made up controversy again listening to the most extreme as if it was news, like the War on Christmas...give me a break. See you on the other side of the speed bump and then let the House Republicans see what happens when the 47% vote in larger number in 2 years. Tea Party bunk, Fox News, and the Mr. Bill O show can stay in the pretend world they live in.
23
He must not want Wall Sreet to support the GOP. Imagine what so much insecurity would do to banks, stock market and bon market. He is going to really lose influence over this insanity.

Please wait...
