Even if Benton wins and the two DINO's switch don't the Dems still have a 26-25 lead. Also anybody have the breakdown in the House.
2
I'd be lovely to have a centrist Senate for once.

@ 1: There are only 49 seats, not 51.Right now it's 27D-22R. If Benton wins, that brings it to 26D-23R. Then if both DINOs switch, we end up with 24D-25R (functionally, since two Rs would be the DINOs).

What is with Tom? Is it really about more collaboration or something else? Why did he change to a Democrat if he doesn't support them?
5
@4 To get elected...
6
@3 Good call I forgot to move the two over from the D to the R side.
7
@ Goldy: Exactly.
8
Remember his district first elected him as a R, then he flipped to a D and now he is other than arrogant and a royal pain?
9
Here's a guy who wants to lead form the middle and could care less about parties. Eastside is not Seattle. They are actually independents and Tom is behaving as such.
10
I soooo want Murray to stand pat and call his bluff. If he does, it would be great for Washington no matter which way he jumps.
11
@9 Looks to me like Tom is a manipulative narcissistic sleaze-bag like Joe Lieberman. If he wants to be an independent, then he should have the guts to run as one, instead of being conniving coward.
12
When is Tom up for reelection again?
13
Democrats Are centrist.
14
@ 13 Pretty much except for the liberals who are greens who are smart enough to realize its a two party system.
