If I 502 passes, it will be a felony to grow your own. Even one plant. Unless you pay the state 1,000 dollars and submit to being fingerprinted . This initiative puts big businesses and the state in control . I voted for it anyway. Damn.

Man, I actually felt quite sorry for her during dog-gate. Not that I thought she was actually deserving of any sympathy for the actual act itself, but just that the level of vitriol being heaved at her was un-justifiable. She makes it challenging though. Does anyone have any idea what she was even attempting to convey with the "volcano bag?"

@13 A volcano is a weed vaporizer. It's nicer on your lungs than smoking. You vaporize the water in the weed into a bag and then breath that.

@13: I believe a "Volcano" is a type of vaporizer, which turns the THC in pot into a vapor which you breathe instead of the smoke. To catch the vapor, you put a special sealed bag over the vaporizer, and then suck it out of the bag.

I learned something in college.

Isn't it currently legal for medical marijuana patients to grow their own plants within certain limits? Although, it seems to me that, once pot is legalized, there's less justification for it since pot will be more accessible for everyone, healthy and sick alike.

@24 As I understand it, with a med card ($75) I am allowed to grow a few plants of my own without fearing a felony charge. No fingerprint required. 502 makes this prohibitively expensive unless one is operating a bigger, more commercial grow op.

Washington State law provides that medical marijuana patients are allowed to grow up to 15 plants and possess up to 24 ounces. The medical marijuana law--and those rules--will not change if I-502 passes.

Lisa Dank and her incompetent employer 4E define everything that is wrong in the medical cannabis industry, period. Parading around with their clubbing events for what appear to be completely fine and normal young adults - openly smoking joints and dancing. I'm not sure how anyone can take their company, or their employees, seriously. Obviously all of the comments above can agree. Thanks Dominic for showing their true colors.

Just under that post Dom owned the topic. This won't change a thing about medical marijuana law. Someone with 1 license to have medical pot can grow up to 15 plants. Game over dude. Not a single thing about I-502 changes that. I, just like you, would absolutely love to vote on that topic and would love for that to be apart of legalization. Today it's not and today you have a choice. Either legalize it more, or not. Your choice is really clear.
