You certainly know what you are voting for with a Rmoney/ Ryan ticket.

or eat a bite
since Paul posted this.

this is very upsetting.....
4
Paul,

please take the video down.

It is just too upsetting.

please....
5
Someone needs to do a parody of Katy Perry's "Hot n Cold" about Romney.
6
These sort of statements seem to stem from those religions (going back thousands of years) that have seen women as primarily biological in function. Look how far we've come.
7
It's the will of God if a rape leads to pregnancy. The rapist has no free will. It's God will that a lady endure a violent sexual assault because God thinks that lady needs to be pregnant. And while the rapist is only doing God's work, the raped woman has free will. If that woman gets an abortion, she is thwarting God's plan that she carry the child of the man who attacked and forcibly penetrated her.
8
There should be a rule about you can't be President if you have raped someone...
9
The American White House is no place for a rapist.
10
The Democratic Party must protect women from rapist Presidents!
11
Rape is Wrong.
12
It is impossible to imagine that a candidate for President could be this insensitive about sexual assault.
13
mmmmm.....

If Mitt is elected I wonder if he would grab me, fondle my breast and press my hand against his genitals if I visited the Oval Office?
14
@13

double mmmmmmmm........

I used to wonder the same thing about Rick Santorum.......
15
The American Taliban is alive and unfortunately well. Are we really condemned to wrestle with these "savages" for the rest of humanity despite overall progress?
16
Here is my pompously-presented thought on the subject (as posted to Politico):

I would like to see Mourdock, and now Cornyn and anyone else who hold's Mourdock's position publicly, put their own lives where their supposed belief in God is. Immediately sign DNR (do not resuscitate) orders and Advance Medical Directives refusing all treatment for themselves, cancel their health insurance policies for their entire families, and forswear ever accepting any medical intervention or inoculation, or allowing their family members to be treated by any medical practitioner.

For, if violently-inflicted pregnancy is "God's Will," then so is sickness, injury, disease and death, and they should accept it gratefully for themselves and their entire families. To be asking the taxpayers and the medical profession to thwart God's Will for themselves is nothing but hypocrisy.

Seeing a bunch of hidden comments from sore-loser trolls is like watching hornets swarm from the safety of indoors. They're buzzing around furiously but are not landing a single sting.
18
Geez, because political endorsements mean you agree with everything a candidate says or will say. Which means that everyone who endorses Obama is endorsing using drones to kill 16 year old teenagers with no oversight or due process.

And, of course, struggling to square the circle between what you perceive to be two moral evils means you're pro-rape.

Look, I'm as anti-Romney and anti-Republican as the next man, but frankly, you guys are stretching so hard to active bad faith to these people that it's embarrassing.

I disagree with the pro-life side, but I can see their point of view and understand their argument. And frankly, abortion wouldn't be the contentious issue it is if lots of other reasonable Americans didn't think and feel the same way.

I wouldn't have thought it possible, but you guys are actually making me feel a smidgen of sympathy for the GOP.

Anyway, this comment probably belongs more on the first thread, but it's getting stale so I'm posting it here.

Comments like that just show the hypocrisy, or at minimum the cognitive disconnect of these people. If it's "God's will" that a raped women become pregnant, then it's also "God's will" that some men shoot blanks and women simply can't conceive. Therefore, in vitro fertilization, surrogate pregnancies, and other means to allow sterile couples to have their own children are thwarting God's plan. Yet you won't hear ANY of these people condemn that.

Good god, these people suck.
20
@ 18, nobody who is "reasonable" feels that way. Reason has nothing to do with their position.
21
@18, "because political endorsements mean you agree with everything a candidate says or will say"

Nope, it means that whatever disagreement you have is not very significant to you, which tells those who weren't paying attention that Rmoney is a misogynist who is perfectly comfortable with rape apologists holding elected office.
22
@18
"I disagree with the pro-life side, but I can see their point of view and understand their argument."

Really?
Because, to me, it's based in superstition and an ancient practice of treating women as property.
Not to mention that it ignores all the scientific progress made in the past 2,000 years.

"I wouldn't have thought it possible, but you guys are actually making me feel a smidgen of sympathy for the GOP."

I think that might be your problem.
That a woman who is raped and becomes pregnant AND WHO IS FORCED TO CARRY THAT PREGNANCY TO BIRTH BY RELIGIOUS ZEALOTS is, somehow, not 100% offensive to you.
Maybe 99% offensive.
But there's still that 1% of sympathy for those religious fanatics who might have their world-view slightly discredited that a woman would have the audacity to get an abortion in that instance.

Sorry, exactly HOW does a woman's abortion in such an instance affect Richard Mourdock?

No matter how much the wind howls the mountain (of Truth) is not swayed.

Life begins at conception.

900000 innocent humans are slaughtered annually in this enlightened land.

That matches the pace of the holocaust.

And you are OK with that.

We feel sorry for you.

You are so deep in a black hole that you have no conception of light.

Stay inside.

The Sting of The Truth would be probably be a fatal shock to your system....

And you just quoted "Mulan". huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue
25
it's all theoretical to the pro-life politician. if you believe that life starts at conception, that any effort to abort that pregnancy is murder, then rape babies are innocent and have done nothing to deserve death.

but if their daughter gets impregnated by rape, they'd go all the way to a godless coast to abort that baby.

Republicans are the party of rape. or so it seems. sans the guy in Utah who off'd himself.

Richard Mourdock, the Indiana senatorial candidate who said that if a rapist impregnates a woman, โ€œitโ€™s something God intended.โ€

sounds like a criminal defense of sort. "God wanted me to do it."

the party of rape, the party of racists, and the party of crazy...
27
@23: Do you have any other tidbits of wisdom stolen from children's movies for us?

28
24

thank you.

it's always handy to have someone to explain it to the retards....

27

plenty.

but most of them are over your heads......
