The reality is the GOP is trying to just hold on to the House of Reps to keep any legislation from passing for the next four years. And then running this piece of shit Ryan in 2016 while blaming Romney for losing in 2012 because he wasn't conservative enough.

Paul Ryan is the GOP's next big hope...and you should fear this little piece of shit.
2
Wow, when even Faux News won't take the GOP ticket's bullshit and is grilling* the VP nominee like that, you gotta figure that they're toast.

*"Grilling" being a relative term.
3
There's more than a month until the election. That must be a doozy of a plan. Though, if the goal is "tax simplification", I don't see how a tax plan that takes more than a solid month, 896 hours until the polls close, to read out, is going to accomplish that. This Mr. Ryan fellow must be be a pretty complicated thinker.
4
He keeps talking about "closing loopholes." Wouldn't closing loopholes *raise* taxes? Does he even know what he's talking about?
6
He's going to get rid of deductions, lower revenue, and keep the deductions while not affecting revenue. Simple. Maybe you don't understand magic Ryan math?
7
Citizens pay less money, but the government still gets the same amount. Excellent idea! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5Hp86GuDOhE/TN…
8
Eddie Munster! He's so far above the rest of us, he doesn't need to explain himself or his plan for screwing the poor and middle class.
9
Apparently, to the Republicans, it's a bad thing to torture statistics, but a good thing to torture people.
10
Well, to be fair ... he really doesn't have the time it would take to explain all of that.

You know, so it makes sense.
11
Try me Paul. I'm not going anywhere.
12
Smarmy frat guy is smarmy. Don't get into Paul Ryan's car, America!
13
I really do feel sorry for all the candidates, including the president running for re-election, in these Sunday talk shows when it comes to talking about taxes. With only ten minutes or so, you have to know how to guide it. Too granular and you start quoting figures, you’ll be torn to shreds about your sources and face counter-sources both during and after the interview. Too macro, and you’ll be face thrashings for not providing specifics. Rarely, do any of them achieve the right balance, and even if they do the partisan media would never acknowledge it.

Ryan was as articulate and forthcoming as Obama, or their surragetes such as Axelrod, or as anyone of them can be in the glare of the Fox News Sunday, Meet the Press, or This Week spotlights -- with a wide spectrum of trigger-happy, outrage-loving, pontificators just salivating for the even the slightest slip up.
14
It really doesn't matter because we'll be constantly at war and they will balloon the debt like they always do.
15
Everything I've seen of or about Chris Wallace has shown him to not be just another Fox News malinformation cronie. Dare I say, he's alright?

Also, Ryan (yea lyin Ryan - no fan of him am I) isn't saying anything here so controversial. Obama, too, ( well everyone ) has advocated for simplification of the tax code, eliminating obscure or highly strained deductions, and, in turn, lowering tax rates.. to varying degrees.

Wallace is good to press the question Does Lyin Ryan plan to lower tax rates in a fiscally irresponsible fashion - outweighing the sum of the eliminated deductions? Or, I don't know, maybe favoring a lot of rich white guys?

16
"I don't have the time to explain this to you ignorant cocksuckers,'cuz I'm smarter then Eddie Munster."
17
@13 Well then certainly Mr. Romney and Mr. Ryan could present their detailed plans to the American people in writing? Perhapes on one of their campain web pages?

No? oh well
18
I like that he just admitted torture doesn't yield useful information.
19
Who knew Eddie Munster grew up and became a Congressman... ?
20
@13 - What the hell kind of Sunday talk shows are you watching where specifics get scrutinized during an interview?
21
@13 It's hardly a slip-up. Romney/Ryan have made not giving out specifics to their plans a corner-stone of their strategy. The amount of fail that this strategy has wrought can't be understated. The 47% comment has such legs because it's the only Romney has been so honest in his presentation. If his campaign had been forthcoming about the details of his plans, not just saying, "Oh, we'll get rid of abortion & Obamacare," but offering real answers that can be examined, people might have ignored his speech to his supporters. They'd be too busy looking at his plans. But there's nothing to examine. There's only theoretical blather.

Which is the central situation w/ Republicans: they're fanatics. They're not interested in solutions. They only want their theories to be right. (Since they are so dominated w/ the Christians, those 'theories' are actually 'superstition.') They're willing to subvert the constitution for their fanaticism. At the core of every fanatic is hate. A deep smoldering hatred for The Other. Which is pretty much most of America.

So gay dude, once you stop your hating, you might be able to accomplish something. Until then, your party is doomed.
22
No specifics, you 47% Moochers, until AFTER you elect R & R!
23
@21: Your responses to me are always a tossed salad of venting, insults, extrapolations, hyperbole, and stereotypes that there is no entry point to a reasonable discussion. Your second paragraph is a classic example.
Which is sad, I must admit, because you do often provide insightful historical context.

24
@23
You are an idiot.
So Obama does not have time to talk about his budget?
Oh look. It is posted on a web site.
http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget

Now, where is Romney's budget?
Nope. Not seeing it. Not seeing it anywhere.
Maybe Romney just does not "get" this whole "internet" thing with its "web pages".
Or this "printing press" thing where he can send out pamphlets to reporters with the details of his budget changes.
Or maybe, just maybe, the reporters who have been COMPLAINING FOR HIS ENTIRE CAMPAIGN that he was refusing to provide any details were correct.

But if they are correct, that means that you are an idiot.
An idiot who defends racists and bigots because your life is so sad that defending racists and bigots is a step up from your normal level of interaction.
25
@23, ok I'll bite. What is Romney's economic plan?
26
@24: Speaking of a tossed salad.
27
@26
You really did not know that Obama has published actual budgets, did you?
He is the POTUS.
That is part of what the POTUS does.

But you did not know that.
You are an idiot.
And being called an idiot by strangers on the internet is STILL the best option you have for spending your time.
No wonder you defend racists and bigots.
28
At this point in the game - with Romney far behind in the polls, no intention of releasing tax records, and everyone and his Mom having seen the ghastly 47% speech - why not just go for the Hail Mary pass by telling the truth?

"The Republican economic plan is to cut taxes for the wealthy, period. We can afford that by destroying the social safety net for everyone else. We know that won't be popular with everyone, so we remind those of you who are poor and White that it is very distasteful to have a Black man as President. Romney 2012."

Concise, clear, honest, and it probably wouldn't cost him a single vote.
29
Keep your chin up, Gay Dude for Romney. You're only stuck with this degrading job for a few more weeks.
30
@26 people might get hyperbolic with you but it's mostly due to how incredibly annoying you can be. Why can't you ever answer a question? You always either shift the subject, never reply or get oddly personal.
So back to the topic at hand, what is it in this non-existent budget plan do you like? Please don't say something meaningless like cut the deficit, lower taxes, fix regulations, etc. All budget plans cover those issues.
31
@23 I'm sure you meant to say "word salad."
Unless you have salad-tossing on your mind (hardy har har)

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.ph…

Furthermore, @21's argument seems pretty unconfusing to me, but I happen to agree with him/her. The second paragraph in particular sets out a pretty simple thesis and gives some evidence. Do you disagree with the idea that Republicans are fanatics as defined in that way, at least compared to Democrats? You seem like a fanatic yourself, since you can give no reason to vote for Romney; yet you are going to, basically because you're a fan of his.

By the way, a word salad is a jumble of words put together so as to make NO sense. That hardly describes any of us, since none of us is schizophrenic or aphasic

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Word_salad

32
Dear Mr. Ryan, Shut up and go away forever. Now. We're waiting.
33
GDfR, why don't you shut us up, and link to the specifics of the Romney/Ryan plan as others have linked to Obama's? Why are you so willing to blindly follow someone who won't speak about the working details of what they want to do? Why do you try to redirect rather than explain Romney's plans?
34
As expected, crickets from GDfR.

Please wait...
