@1 but those videos were edited to make them seem worse than they really were. Granted, we've only heard a few clips and we could find out that at the beginning Mitt was doing an impression of himself as some sort of bizarro roast. But I doubt it. The full videos will only further add context.

If we'd have listened to Carter in 1977 about energy conservation and independence, Global Warming and our problems in the middle east would not be near as severe.

Also he deregulated the American beer industry allowing us to have micro-brews that we have today.

I, for one, was never naive enough to believe all the anti-Carter stuff. Nor was I foolish enough to believe that Reagan was anything but a lapdog for defense contractors.

It we were smarter as a people (and I think we were, in many ways, smarter in 1980 than we are now) we would have seen Reagan for the fraud he was - and the whole hostage release as the cheap theatrics it was.

That's why I say we shouldn't relax about this election. People will vote for Romney because they are stupid and/or racist - and there's no shortage of those people. Add to the that the blatant election fraud made possible by an indifferent public and a Sociopathic GOP leadership, and one can see where it will be a tight race.

Wow, wow. Hold on here folks, Carter was a hawk (Nicaragua, Iran) and a deregulator (finance, trucking, telecom). He was right about dependence on fossil fuels and he had a decent post-elected office career but let's not get carried away.
