I really wish people could pile up all their receipts and compare it to their annual income and prove once and for all. Everyone pays taxes! Geez, my grandma has been retired for almost thirty years now and pays all kinds of taxes. Hell, a five year old spending their allowance is paying taxes.

From Romney, in defense of the leaked tapes:

"My campaign is about helping people take more responsibility and becoming employed again, particularly those who don't have work," Romney said. "(Obama's) whole campaign is based on getting people jobs again, putting people back to work. This is ultimately a question about direction for the country. Do you believe in a government-centered society that provides more and more benefits or do you believe instead in a free enterprise society where people are able to pursue their dreams?"

What? Honestly, it kills me that the polls are so close. The guy can't even formulate a cohesive sentence! I really can't wrap my brain around it.

Paul: you have probably seen this and it is long, but Kristol's debate with Barney Frank at the AJC's Global Forum in May actually humanizes Kristol a bit. He apparently has a sense of humor (which isn't evident in his daily role as a pundit):

that's what I want in the White House. Stupid and arrogant.
6
Why do Republicans have to vote for him? They can say "we don't want a king" and stay home.

Bill Kristol has always reminded me of Billy Crystal in Mr. Saturday Night. It's just wild that such an incompetent pundit keeps getting jobs.

Please wait...
