I will throw down 6DKB with anyone, anytime.

Dan Savage's Bacon number is 3.
Charles Mudede... isn't listed. :-(
5
I can't find anyone whose Bacon Number is higher than 3.

YET...

Sadly, Obama apparently wasn't much interested in publishing signed work as a legal scholar, back when he was an academic, and so doesn't have an Erdos-Bacon number.
7
Florence Lawrence is a 4

This is the dumbest thing in the history of the last six seconds.

The highest Bacon number for an actor is 7. Some guy named William Rufus Shafter:

Turns out the thing isn't accurate. It gives Florence Lawrence a 4, but she appeared with Cary Grant in "Sinners in the Sun" and his number is 2, so hers should be 3.

@5 - Seriously, I can't find an actor from the last 50 years less closely connected either. I thought I really had one, but Jean-Pierre Léaud is a TWO ferchrissake.

Oh, noticed #9's comment. You probably just saved me a considerable amount of agony.

I thought I was hot shit with a Bacon number of three. Then The Future Mrs. Dr. Awesome informed me her Bacon number is two.

Then she utterly demolished me by relating the story of meeting (and getting a hug from) Jesus. Aka Ted Neely.

Charles Mudede's number is 3

Statistical analysis on IMDB a few years back showed that the center of the movie universe is Christopher Lee. The shortest path between any two people is most likely through him.

@13 - Oh that's a good one, as more obscure actors (that are credited on IMDB) don't cull any Bacon Number results from Google. Via your link, there's actually some names on there that turn up "cannot be linked to Kevin Bacon." I wonder if the difference is in algorithms, or if that's truly the case?

Please wait...
