Because, Paul, for many in the GOP Akin ISN'T a "rogue member", he's just a poor, innocent victim of the librul left-wing MSM's genocidal attacks. He didn't say ANYTHING most of them don't already BELIEVE, he just didn't say it as elegantly (i.e. couched in double-speak), as most in the GOP would have preferred.

Wait, didn't Rmoney introduce Ryan while wearing identical suits, and the media spent a good week talking about how they'd be more co-presidents than pres and vice?
3
Does Ryan realize that by being elected Vice President, he could, potentially, become President during the next four years? Has no one told him that? Or does he think we don't know?

Akin is a problem because he IS mainstream GOP thinking at this point. I honestly think behind closed doors the GOP has no problem with what Akin said but the public nature of saying what the GOP has always though. So naturally the public face of the party has to be trying to drop him but in their heart of hearts, the GOP loves Akin.

The Vice President votes to break a tie in the Senate, and the Senate may be evenly divided. No member of the media should be allowing Ryan to 'leave it at that.'

I personally believe that the GOP position on Choice renders anyone who ascribes to it morally unfit to govern.

But their inability to control a Todd Akin renders these candidates demonstrably unfit to govern.
