Robert E. Lee was an educated and intelligent man. After the Civil War he became president of Washington College (now Washington & Lee University). I'm pretty sure when he had opposing political opinions he made thoughtful arguments rather than resorting to gradeschool level name calling. Something tells me he wouldn't be as proud to have this woman as a descendant as she is to be one.
