Since you can't use the future as an excuse, does that mean you are going to stop talking about how everyone needs to move into a 100 square foot room when you live in a freestanding home?

Because if I recall, your excuse for that was the future. You were going to start following your ideals in the future, yes? No more excuses Mudede.

Thank you for this good news. I wonder about corrosion and the (scuba?) maintenance regimen and what the local beasties will do with the new structures.

Will we reach the promise foretold in Sealab 2020?

If the challenges with installation, maintenance and corrosion could be overcome, tidal power is probably one of the best sources of energy available.

Hey, hey! It's like a koala bear crapped a rainbow in my brain!

@6: Ad Hominem is attacking the person for something distanced from the argument at hand.

Charles made an argument here about how the future is not an excuse for anything.

In a post a week or so ago, he said that the future was his excuse for not living up to an ideal he held that other people should live up to.

Pointing out that a person's own arguments are contradictory and hypocritical is not an Ad Hominem attack.

I'm not impressed. I'd rather see solar power. We have destroyed our seas, and there is nothing good about causing more sound pollution under there.

Please wait...
