Um, it's not clear to me he's deriding the boy who committed suicide. He could be bemoaning the attitudes of the rest of the country. I've heard gay people say things like this when they are complaining about the lack of progress(Things like, "the second you forget you're a faggot, some straight person will remind you."). Had he said "you faggots" it would be clear he meant this in an anti-gay manner.

Fake picture, but a lot of my real friends have pics of their kids, or dogs, or avatars...they just don't like to have a real photo up. The guy started the account 6 weeks ago, has friends, and has posted an updated on various things. I think this is a recent account, but a real account.

His comments are so over the top that I have to wonder if it's fake, and internet trolls are perfectly happy to mock dead teenagers: there was a case a few years ago where a memorial page set up for a (straight) teenager who shot himself was filled with horrible comments. People even took pictures if his grave and prank-called his grieving parents. Or maybe someone who hates this guy set up a fake FB profile with his name, which would be doubly evil: mocking a dead child and getting an enemy fired from Taco Bell. Then again, there are people stupid enough to post stuff like this: remember that asshole school board member from Montana?

The profile may not represent a person we can get fired, but at least we can get the profile itself pulled. Facebook isn't too keen on people stealing photos to set up fake profiles for the purposes of harassing the friends and family of dead children.

Anyone live in St. George Utah on slog? I'd be willing to bet that this is a troll/fake identity. He's only been on facebook since July, doesn't have a ton of friends until the last couple days, is un-googlable, and talks more like a 9th grader than a law school graduate. Also, I've never heard of a law school graduate under 60 that doesn't have a linkedin account. My guess is Taco Bell will be muy confused after getting a flood of emails, and won't be able to find any records of Jonas Hillary.

I'm a little surprised at how seriously people are taking his profile information.

When someone uses a fake photo for their facebook profile, it's highly unlikely the other profile info is going to be true, especially when the university they say they're from is a high profile uni like Uni of Michigan.

Well, I found Eric Artell on Facebook and sent him a message with a link to the fake profile. I don't know if he can do anything about it but I'd hate to see the poor kid's career tank because of this.

I am a University of Michigan alumna. I know that the U of M lists its graduates in the general directory as alumni. Hell, I'm still in there and I finished my master's degree 11 years ago.

A search of the UM directory yielded no persons, either current or former students, with the name "Jonas Hillary."

The profile is fake fake fake fakey fake. I doubt the person behind this profile has ever BEEN to Michigan.
