It reads like you're addressing the posts to attention whores.
3
@2, yes yes, Paul pointed that out. I think it works both ways.
4
I don't think your headline says what you intend:

"Judge Okays New Prostitution Zone in Seattle Center/Westlake Area"

Sounds like a replacement for the Fun Forest.
5
If you're picking up prostitutes on the street, you're doing it wrong.
6
I wonder how different the legalization argument would go if we adopted a john-based enforcement system, where the whores weren't arrested but the men soliciting them were, and the men were barred from entering certain areas. You could just bust them by license plate number as they drove down Aurora on other business.
7
I thought we were supposed to pick up our whores on Craigslist? That's how I found Amy Pond.
8
maybe i'm slow, but if you've been convicted of a crime and paid your debt to society, you are once again a free citizen. (probation, special commitment centers and no-contact orders, etc. not withstanding). i'm not seeing how they can justify prohibiting you from walking down certain streets - is this like some sort of zone-wide restraining order?
9
@7 - Wasn't Amy Pond a child when you found her?
10
Anti-prostitution zone? Damn, talk about a misleading headline!
11
@10 Don't you always expect this sort of clear, well written reporting from Stranger staffers?

It's quite peculiar. One would think that when it comes to women having the right to do what they want with their bodies, they'd have the right to do something that didn't harm another being, like have sex for money, and they wouldn't have the right do something that harmed another being (like a fetus.) Yet, it's exactly the opposite.

I'm pro-choice when it comes to abortion and prostitution so I think both should be legal. I just think a much stronger moral case can be made for allowing prostitution and banning abortion than vice-versa.

I got whores!

In various Zi--ip--codes...

98101...98109....

They call me the Abominable Whoreman...

I got...
15
Thank God that men can still be prostitutes in that zone ....
16
@13 it's hard to have a computer and an internet connection when every dollar you make instantly goes into your crack pipe or dirty heroin needle.
17
It really would be much easier to make it legal and move it into the industrial areas or outlands. The money they lose on fines would more than be made up in taxes and that is their real concern. After all if a woman has the right to murder her child she should have the right to at least get paid for it.

If the government would quit giving jobs to the people that just get out of prisin and give them to the innocent citizens then they wouldnt have to have sex for money. There is a program in seattle that helps people who have felonies get a job but not the people without records

Too bad that everyone forgets that the recession has driven MANY single mothers, not just junkies into this world. If u don't understand the true psychology of it, shut up people!

Please wait...
