Cool story, bro.

While I can understand why they wanted to institute some sort of pay system, their current paywall is a ridiculous confusing mess, and a joke to bypass. It is a terrible implementation, a massive FAIL.

I expect we will see the NYTimes paywall V.2 within 6 months.

@4,

Same thought. I read the line about his starting a blog "in college", then scrolled back up to the photo, thinking I was mixing up the photos with the stories I was reading. Seems like a not-great pic of him, inasmuch as that may matter. Nice interview though -- should probably see the movie.

Did I read this right?
First he said:
"blog commenting software is also much more powerful than Twitter."
and then he said:
"I never engage in the comments"
and added:
"I purposely avoid blog comments... It just seems so bloody awful sometimes in those comment threads."

Um... say what?

And Eli says he gets into the comments... does he?

Answer me this Eli (and let me say I am one of your biggest fans ever since the whole Sanders court thing):

Do you?

@6: Yes.

With the thinning dome he's starting to look like his broadcast hero Jeff Zucker.

Please wait...
