Will Rossi finally win a poll? Or will he lose again by the slimmest of margins? I can't wait to see.
2
I demand a recount! Voter fraud! Voter fraud!
3
Dino's political career as a candidate is over.

He lost to Gregoire 2004 by 0.0013%.
He lost to Gregoire 2008 by 6.48%.
He lost to Murray 2010 by 12.06%.

Anyone noticing the trend there? And Cantwell is a stronger candidate than Murray, I'd say. If they were that insane to nominate him again:

He lost to Cantwell 2012 by 24.**%. I personally wouldn't mind if they did it again.

Let's see how many satisfied Patty Murray customers there are in two years when Teapublicans have eviscerated all earmarks.
5
Oh, Please, let it be the man who couldn't catch a serial killer because he's a total idiot. I also hope that Dino is now in the same club as Eyman... the dolts. Clint can't win, Doc can't win, Cathy can't win, Dave, Dino and John can't win... Only Rob stands a chance, and that's quickly fading with his challenge of Health Care. He's a little GW Bush in waiting!
6
@4 let's see how satisfied the Teatards are when they realize they've elected useless bodies that aren't there to actually do anything for them.
8
Dino Rossi, the loser eternal.

Dan Satterberg.

US Senator.

I like the way that sounds...

10
@9 Yeah, great candidate when cases he worked with the local SPD are about to be investigated by the Justice Department.
11
Republicans should move from Washington to Utah. They are useless here and nobody likes them.
12
I'm not voting for any more incumbents, no matter how bad the other choice seems.
13
Susan Hutchison

(ick i know)
14
@11 You haven't spent much time in the other half of the state, have you?

I bet it'll be Reichert. There's only so much the national party machine is going to want to invest in the race if they don't think they have a solid shot at winning. Dave can run, lose, and back out of public life, and the GOP can try to find a more viable candidate to challenge for that 8th district seat.
15
@14 I was being facetious.
16
I voted Rossi because he seems to lack any sense of embarrassment or humility. I guess he could fail to get the nomination, but that's the only way I see him not running.

Being "represented" by Cathy McMorris Rodgers, I'd say she's crazy enough to take a shot at Cantwell, but she's wily enough to know she can't win unless Cantwell is crippled. So maybe if there's a totally humiliating corruption scandal before the filing deadline.

@11 - take a look at the map: http://vote.wa.gov/Elections/WEI/Results… . If wheat fields, orchards and vineyards could vote, Rossi would be senator-elect right now. (Thank you, sweet baby Jesus, for King County)
17
@15 Gotcha. (Not that I would mind if they all moved away)
18
Whoa, man, I just voted for Dino Rossi.
19
My money's on Reichert. It took a great deal of arm-twisting to get Rossi to run against Murray, I don't think WA Republicans are going to convince him to make another run (hopefully his failed career in politics is over for real this time). McKenna has a solid shot at Governor but not as solid for Senator since he'd be going up against an incumbent instead of a new challenger. All the other names on that list are too far-right to have a reasonable shot. That doesn't mean they won't try, but to me, Reichert is the only one on that list that makes sense for the Rs to push.

But, barring some major scandal against Cantwell, I don't think the Republicans have a chance.
20
It's Clint Diddler, not Didier.
21
Reichert - Redistricting is going to make the 8th CD change in composition - and likely become more if not an exclusively KC district. With Reichert's Pierce County base gone, he can challenge Cantwell for the Senate seat knowing that either race would be an uphill climb.
22
Rossi, are you kidding? He's done. It will be McRogers, because Republicans have this crazy idea that they can beat Maria with another woman. That's how deluded they are.
23
Ah sure likes that Cleunt Diddley feller!
24
How about John Koster? Sarah Palin's other favorite.
25
McKenna's the only one on that list with a chance in hell, and he wants Gregoire's job, not Cantwell's. Whoever else it is is just going to be a sacrificial lamb.

With a little luck the batshit crazies will get theirs and it'll at least be funny to watch.
26
The only one who stands a chance is Clint Didier.

Which means spoiler Rossi and his Chinese comrades will run.
27
@16: I'm thinking that McMorris will have learned from the lessons of George Nethercutt, and given the profile she's gaining in the House Republican leadership I don't think she'd want to give that away.

That said, she's certainly not doing dick-squat for us in Eastern Washington right now.
28
Reichert is the only one with a shot, but he probably could have WON against Murray. I highly doubt any of these candidates could come close to knocking her off, if Seattle voters were happy with Murray they're going to love Cantwell. I'm mostly here for the anti-war vote, which both women are, and they're also pro-choice, and not entirely crazy. Almost every candidate you mentioned is running on a campaign of, "my penis knows more about your vagina than you". Can't win with it in this state, not gonna happen.

Please wait...
