"a shopaholic who threw potatoes at her husband" So very like a Republican Housewife.

She looks like a real bitch.

Thank you for posting this amazing photo! Bunny & Barry as Mary Todd & Abe were definitely the highlight of this already top notch and SOLD OUT "Why Vampires? Why Abraham Lincoln? Why Now?" program expertly hosted and moderated by the Vis-à-vis Society for Bumbershoot 2010!

Oh sure, go ahead and laugh, but if somebody dressed a dog up as Michelle Obama, y'all would have a conniption fit.
6
@5 you know perfectly well first ladies from the wayback are funnier.
7
That's Barry's Bunny? I love Bunny very, very much. I was pleasantly surprised to see her a while back coming out of the Spanish class before mine. I would be honored to have her throw a potato at me.
8
I bet Dolly Madison never shit on the carpet.
9
I'll bet Betty Ford did.

The bumbershoot stage? When, where, what, why? And how did I miss this?

@10 This was one of the three programs that comprised the "Why This? Why That? Why Now?" program on Bumbershoot's "Words & Ideas" stage. Different trends were explored each day of the festival from 1pm-2pm at the Leo K Theater.

I cannot tell if Mary Dogg Lincoln is wearing gloves. Apparently, she was as enamored of gloves as Imelda is of shoes. Per the net: "She spent greater amounts on clothes than any other First Lady; she bought 300 pairs of lace gloves in four months, leaving the Lincoln family in tremendous debt."

We weren't allowed to have cameras during this show....thanks for making my life somewhat more complete.

@9: Ironically, I nearly shit myself from laughing at your comment.

Dogs dressed like historical first ladies. So profoundly arbitrary, yet makes perfect sense. Genius.
