This whole scenario reminds me of when John Paulk got busted in the gay bar in Washington DC. At first he denied even being there, then he said he went in to use the bathroom not even knowing it was a gay bar and then he finally came clean.

Then sometime between 10:45 pm and 11:00 pm PDT, all the pictures of Geo and other identifying details were scrubbed from his rentboy.com site.
Quite honestly, I'm worried about this kid. At best he's in his early 20s, more likely younger. People his age rarely make an informed decision to become sex workers. He ended up with a bad client and now his life is pretty well fucked.
As delicious as it is that Rekers is being brought down (at least for the moment), he is an adult, a public figure and a hypocrite. Lucien/Geo was public only to the extent that his services and professional information were available behind a password protected web site. But really, who but a potential John was likely to see this? Very unlikely that his family would stumble across it. I really hope the glbt community steps up to help this kid and keeps him from becoming another one of Rekers' victims.
Oh, and no, he does not look 16. Young 20s, sure. 18, maybe. But not 16, no way.
I feel sort of bad for this kid. Sounds like he was trying to be professional by covering for his client, though now that he's learned just who is client is, I hope he becomes more vocal. Still, I'm with the others who think this kid needs to recieve a lot of support, especially if he wasn't out to his family even. He didn't ask to be in the eye of this particular storm, so while we delight in the fall of yet another hypocrite, lets lay groundwork for others. Lets show service workers that if they out their anti-gay hypocrite clients, they will be taken care of and supported.

Considering that all of the sex-workers who had sex with Tiger Woods and what's-his-name, Sandra Bullock's husband are being offered tv shows and paid media interviews, I'd say notoriety is working for them. Mike Jones of Ted Haggard fame got a book deal. H works now as a personal trainer according to Wiki. If people are willing to hire him they presumably know his history.
There are lots of male sex workers who have their own web sites, they don't get lots of hits because they are unknown.
Beau Breedlove was not a sex worker but his fling with Sam Adams got him on the cover of "Unzipped" and a book deal.
As I said, notoriety can be lucrative.

As to the ramifications for Geo, he'll end up on talk shows and probably write a book about the whole experience. Don't feel too sorry for him yet.

Seems McCollum is currently running for Governor in Florida. The same McCollum that has joined the lawsuit against our government to block health care. What a guy. Evidently misusing taxpayer money to further his conservative agenda is the norm for that guy.
