Who cares what he said? Biden's right. it is a big fucking deal! We finally got healthcare legislation passed in this country. Though it's not all I would have wished for, I'm still glad we've started moving on the right direction.
3
He is fucking right! President Obama has beaten the insurance companies and their Republican shills and won one for America. He deserves kudos!
4
Joe Biden is this nation's cool, crazy Irish uncle.
5
darthvegan nails it. I love that Joe Biden.
6
It's like having Jimmy and Billy Carter in the White House at the same time!
7
Personally, I would love to see Joe Biden unleashed for a while, so he can really lay into the Tea Baggers and Republicans for their mendacity and threats to the President. Then the White House can be all, "Well, you know how Joe is. He just cares so much for this country."

It would be very endearing.

such fucking prudes we are
9
@7 Amen.
10
i fucking love joe biden
11
@7: YES.
12
I thought the comment was funny. Then again, I thought it was funny when Cheney told Leahy to fuck himself. People use the f-word all the time. No big deal. Who gives a shit?
13
Franklin D. Roosevelt gave us the New Deal. Now we know what to call Barack Obama's grand social reform program. Thanks, Joe Biden.
14
Biden needs to remember to drink the whiskey and scotch AFTER the press conference not before. But we still love him :) and this is a big fucking deal :)
15
@12: I think you mean "who gives a fuck".
16
Whoever doubts that this isn't a 'big fucking deal' hasn't been paying attention. Witness the I've-got-mine knuckle-draggers, the Limbaughesque radio hydrocephalics, the tight-assed, hysterical John Boehners - all on the verge of fatal apoplexy that will, of course, be covered by their elitist health care programs.
17
Well said, Joe. :)
18
@4 ftw - I'm enjoying the Whig Party's death rattle as the tea baggers and GOP form a circular firing squad.
19
It took 100 yers to get health care and it is a big fucking deal. Maybe it will take another 100 years before it will not be a big fucking deal when someone says the word fuck.
20
It wasn't a big fucking deal when Dick Cheney used the word. Why is it a big deal now? Damn liberal media!
21
@13. Ha ha... The Square Deal, The New Deal, the Fair Deal, and The Big Fucking Deal.
22
He is a tool.
23
After the vice presidential debate between Biden and Palin, where Biden showed unbelievable restraint against such a juicy target, I think he should get a pass for the rest of his life on any uncouth language.
24
He's been hanging out with Rahm Emmanuel, I take it.
25
@22 - yes, Rush is.
26
"Adult man uses adult language!"
27
Fuckin' right it is. I'm surprised you uptight Seattlites are down with the use of the scary "F" word. No doubt it makes you all feel uncomfortable. Fuckin' pussies.
28
@23, I'll second that! "Say it ain't so, Joe!"
29
WTF?

FTW!
30
Fuckin' A, bubba.
31
Well, I hate to use profanity*, but I think almost anyone would agree there's a significant difference between "This is big fucking deal" and "Go fuck yourself"

*Actually, in real life I swear like a sailor, and I really should stop it. It's a bad influence on the children. My father was a stickler for learning how to express yourself without using profanity, and I'm forever grateful to him for that.

Biden's comment needs no further comment. This is after all, (and I sometimes wonder, when I see how easily some folks fall for all the big corporation money fueled lies and manipulation), this is the 21st Century...

What I'd like to ask is: How come all- and I mean ALL- Republicans voted "No" on this historic reform from which they, and all their families, will benefit for generations (just like Medicare, Social Security ,etc. which, albeit they haven't opposed to the last one, but haven't fully embraced either)? Are you telling me NONE of them saw the benefits? Of course not- lots of them did. But they crowded together, and with brilliant lack of imagination, they revealed to whom their souls are sold...

I truly hope this great Country wakes up soon- and I mean REALLY soon... Like in before it's too late... Recently the conservative inclined Supreme Court lifted the cap on how much corporations, unions, or individuals can contribute in campaign contributions, among others... Mr. Bush may have seemed like a half brained citizen, but he sure did a great job for his Master, the international super corporations. Besides the above, in the name of National Security he did away with our rights, changed the bankrupcy law (the new law was put together by Chase- major contributor to his campaign), and the list goes on...
I'm afraid that we'll need another five Obamas to repair the damage- and a more informed, much, much brighter average citizen...
For a brighter future,
The Optimist
