You know what would really spur jobs recovery? SINGLE PAYER HEALTH INSURANCE.

I have only one thing to say: WHAT THE FUCK TOOK THEM SO LONG?

is one of the jobs a make-the-banks-loan-money-again officer? or is it just more deck chair arranging on the titanic? i.e., highway construction.

Woohoo $17 billion. That's like a whole *month* of war spending.

Maybe if we ended two of our three wars ... Iraq, Afghanistan, or the Drug War on MJ ... we'd be able to lock up all the tea baggers that are endangering our streets ...

I'm perfectly comfortable with the government spending my tax dollars on this program.

However, I most strenuously object to spending ANY tax $$ on things like: tobacco subsidies, faith-based initiatives, unnecessary wars in foreign lands where nobody attacked us first, huge tax breaks for people who already have more money than they can spend, the production of weapons of mass destruction, etc., etc., etc.

But you know what? I live with those things I dislike because, in a free, representative democracy funded by taxpayer contributions, we all have to live with things we don't like in order to get funding for things we do like.
