Wise guys don't ride bicycles.
2
So... run the guy over, THEN establish his identity?

Great plan. These guys sound like real pros.
3
one less cyclist, YES!
4
one less cyclist! yes!
5

6

7

They must be members of the Gay Mafia. I mean, two dudes rolling around in an SC430? Might as well have been a pink Miata.
9
So this is really less about bikes and cars and more about some jackass and a case of mistaken identity.
10
Don't want to get hit get off the sidewalk.

#8 The correct term is "Velvet Mafia"

Doesn't surprise me one bit. I live on 137th and Linden, and most of both the bikers and drivers on this street have their heads shoved up their asses. The speed limit is only 20 yet cars routinely go 40 mph or faster up and down Linden Ave North, which also serves as a bike trail between 130th and 145th. Bikers often dress in dark colours and are negligent to the law, creating a dangerous combination once dusk hits. I have been a victim of both road rage (for driving 20 mph like the sign says, and then having cars whip around me or honk, etc) and also have nearly been hit by vehicles at least 5 times crossing Linden that stand out. Its damn scary on Linden for everyone who lives around here- especially since there is a ton of senior housing on the street as well as an elementary school just across Bitter Lake. Changes are occurring though. We had a neighbourhood meeting just last weekend and there are lots of repairs in the works:

Seatlle's finest will have to track this guy down so they can issue him a warning driving on the grass.
14
Was it: "Are you Lance? Are you Lance?"
15
@12: You didn't read past the headline, did you?
16
that's right where i used to buy drugs
17
that's right where many people still buy drugs. 12 - good to hear there's a plan in place, hope it happens. I live in a similar spot on the E side of I-5, and the crackheads are finally being pushed out, one by one.

@15: ...a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing... ;)

@ 12 Indeed I did and I have posted it on several networking sites as well. This accident does not surprise me at all, period. Linden basically is the paved back "alley" of Aurora. This neighborhood has gone down the tubes. The streets are unsafe, there are tons of tweakers biking up and down living out of abandoned rvs and campers, and people get into road rage incidents constantly. I see it out of my window everyday. The mix of decent people and families biking the urban trail along with the mix of meth heads, thugs, and vagrants breaking into cars and trucks creates a scary combination. I would not be shocked at all to hear that these thugs in the car tried to run over that guy around midnight thinking he was someone indebted to them, and not by legal means.

Interestingly, I have been violently accosted by two pieces of shit driving a black Lexus coupe. I was riding home to work on 18th in the Central District, though. They tried to run me down, but missed. Maybe it's because I told them to slow down on the narrow, one lane residential street?
21
who said i was being sarcastic?
22
@21 Hating people you don't know for being a member of a certain group is so...
...20th century? ...Middle School? ...Nazi Germany? Take your pick.
23
This and the hate comments posted by many when it comes to what they wish would happen to cyclists...are the reasons I ALWAYS carry the Judge in a low back holster while bike commuting.
24
What the hell is "the Judge"??? I just carry a machette in my camelbak, lol. Funny what a calming effect a machette has on road rage!
25
Not nearly the effect that a shotgun pistol has.

Please wait...
