Um, there are people who read Infinite Jest who've never read Dracula? Really? That seems so silly. I thought all people who read have already read Dracula.
Has anyone actually found Count Chocula in a store in Seattle? I've never seen it here, but seen it in upstate New York (pretty much any grocery store) and in California (low-rent stores only). What gives?
Paul, people have until September 21st to finish Infinite Jest. It's not over yet. Although, I did finish it a long long time ago. I think I just heard my ego pop.
Dracula is not all that big and fat. It is pretty daggum boring. A big, fat bore. Reading Frankenstein is a more meaty task, but it's not all that exciting, either.
@7: Shut your mouth. Just shut it. (if you want boring, try Lair of the White Wyrm, now THAT was dull)

I admit I am surprised anyone who is somewhat literate hasn't read Dracula before their mid-twenties. I'd recommend the annotated edition since it details what went into the writing, and picking up/reading Dracula's Guest.
As for his other works? Skip Lair of the White Wyrm, you'll save yourself the painful headaches from banging your head against the wall.
MMmm .... Count Chocula. That was a huge and rare treat as a kid, if I remember correctly I liked Boo Berry best of the three.
