I think the humor in GTAIV is pretty good, too. Which, by the way (re: Charles' post) is a game the NRA would love.

Splosion man is a fantastic game. All my game hating friends hate it SO MUCH, but can't stop playing it with me. Its one of the few games like... rock band comes to mind, where you must be in sync with the other players. The multiplayer levels are just sublime examples of synchronized gaming. There is a level, maybe 3-9 in 2-player that is almost one solid chain of flawlessly executed jumps in tandem with a partner.
