I played Magic before and was similarly disappointed by the lack of depth to the XBLA version. At least it got my son to shut up about Pokemon cards for a while.

You can zoom in on your opponent's cards, but you have to use the right thumbstick.

@2: I didn't go into detail in the review because I didn't wanna bog down with nitpicks, but the issue is that the game won't let you zoom in on every card--only ones being played at a particular moment. Aggravating.

Culdcept Saga is a much better TCG for the 360. It may not be as complicated as MtG, but at least you can build your own decks from scratch.

Is this where I say "It puts the lotion in the basket, or it gets the hose again"?

Ugh, do I need to break down and finally get a DSi for all these DSi puzzle games?

@6: If you don't own a DS in the first place, I could understand ponying up for the DSi. It's slick enough. But Nintendo hasn't done a damn thing to push the new one--uh, didn't the E3 expo just whiz by without a single announcement for the feller? I know of no exclusive games with cool, DSi-only features, except for one interesting thing supposedly in the pipeline: a translator program that will translate text if you take a photo of it. Could make for a nice travel device, if it actually works as advertised.

Maybe in the next year, Nintendo will whip up an ArtStyle compilation as a separate package. It's not like the games are using the DSi's special features in any way whatsoever.

Please wait...
