Music News: 'Cause What Else is There

Posted by on Tue, Apr 17, 2012 at 1:27 PM

It's Cloudy Outside in Seattle : "New" Nirvana news seems to be as common as the days I wear a jacket to go outside. Apparently Kurt Cobain was working on a solo album before his passing according to Hole co-founder Eric Erlandson when talking with Fuse. Also in news, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl are apparently recording together again to record a soundtrack about the recording of Nevermind.

On the road again: Black Breath is headlining a huge national tour thanks to Southern Lord along with Poison Idea, Noothgrush, Power Trip, Dead in the Dirt, Pelican and many others joining them on some dates.

"Do I Swing My Arms Now?": Converge played some new songs this past weekend in New York, and apparently will be playing more stuff off their latest record when playing with Rorschach and Indecision next month. Who's buying the plane tickets?

It's Seriously Only Tuesday: I feel the same way, luckily Vancouver's Unfun is streaming their new E.P. and it's tight!

I Don't Even Know Where to Start in Order to Make This Sound Witty: What happens when members of Smash Mouth are in a ska band, in 2012, touring in RVs. Read more here.

No Surprise Here: Ted Nugent is being followed by the Secret Service for something that he said during a National Rifle Association convention.

Was really hard to not make a terrible ska pun about the Queen Anne incident?

Loaded Maskazines?

Potential Weekday Skassacre?

Reskacted Blotter?

(Ugh, I fear we will be seeing at least 3 new high school bands playing an upcoming battle of the bands.)
