Whoa, Man: Female-Oriented CHOICEFEST Takes Place April 12-16

Local promoter Adam Superfan is throwing CHOICEFEST, a four-day/four-venue event that spotlights bands with female members in them. The action runs from April 12-16 and takes place at the Comet, Highline, Funhouse, and Black Lodge. Some of the participating acts include Kinski, He Whose Ox Is Gored, ubik., Amber Asylum, Two Ton Boa, Lozen, and Don Peyote.

Says Adam: "I know I'm not the only one increasingly impressed by the rockings and rumblings of the fairer sex within & revolving around a music scene that is generally dominated by men, and there's no time like the present to celebrate this lady talent, energy & charisma. I'm sick of lookin' at a bunch of dudes on stage anyways!"

Aw, man, I wish my girl band had known about this. We love doing shows with other women. Sounds fun!
