Yes, I agree.

Stop the name calling.

I have put out a call in Physics World magazine asking him to stop name calling people who question some of the tenets of Global Warming and labelling them "deniers".

I wrote an essay asking Al Gore to call us Questioners:

re: that smoldering wreckage of their party,
my dad had the best proposal(/dream) i've heard yet about that:
the Republican party should re-form as the Green Party (sincerely), then the Democratic Party would sort of fill the place of the bad guys that the Republicans have done so repugnantly all these years. i.e. the choice would be between the Democrats and a *better* party.

the reason why that's not going to happen is the same as why that "stop lying about everything" idea isn't going to get very far with them - they're not capable of it.

Um actually when Lincoln was a republican they were what we think of as democrats now. the Democrats were the PRO-slavery party of the south.

I agree with the premise that they should stop lying about everything and that they use it as their first and last option, however my list would be a little different. Stop lying about:

Reasons to go to war
Whether we torture people
The effects of tax policy
The effects of environmental policy
The way and reasons government contracts are awarded
The way governmental hiring and firing is handled
The seriousness and nature of terrorist plots against us
Whether and why we conduct domestic spying

And perhaps most importantly:
Whether our government follows our own laws
