Vulcan Discovery Center Is Like Having A Party Inside an IKEA

posted by on November 4 at 19:35 PM

Party’s just getting started to support the parks levy. People seem to be optimistic but nervous.

“I hope people realize going to a park is cheaper than going to a movie theater,” says Sierra Club volunteer Patrick.

Michael McGinn of the Sierra Club told the SECB that we “wimped out” in our endorsement, which he implied was sort of backhanded.

This is, of course, horseshit.

Go vote for parks!

After all, we endorsed that shit.

In other words: You might be focused on Obama, but you can still vote for parks.

McGinn says he feels “optimistic, but nervous.”

(The bike rack out front is full.)

Here’s Mike McGinn and his daughter.

Sierra Club and Seattle Great City Initiative (where McGinn's the ED) were rocking it tonight. Let's see...no last year to light rail, let's get a better package...check. have the cajones to say your going to pass a parks levy for the betterment of the city...check.

this, seattle, is what the politics of hope are about on the local level.

greatest night ever.

and yes, he's hot.
