We can have a multiparty system but we'd need to change the constitution to have multiple reps. from each district...not just one. In Canada we have a multiparty system, and I'm not sure it's so much better. While it is definitely advantageous to have multiple points of view on the various election issues, the practical result is more often a Naderization, where the vote on one side of the spectrum (usually the left) is split among multiple parties and the other side wins despite having a minority of the popular vote. Several fixes have been suggested but I do not know how well they would work nor even if they will ever actually be tried...

I voted for Obama, but think the Democratic party sucks. I will celebrate if Obama wins, but will keep my expectations low. The Dems did vote for the war, and it would of been nice if Pelosi at least tried to impeach Bush, instead of letting him drive this country into a depression. A thing to watch is if Obama picks Rahn Emanual as his Chief of Staff. If he does, do not expect much to change in the middle east, because Rahm is a Israel first neocon.

It is almost undeniably the case that Monica Lewinsky's hunger for daddy-cock and Bill Clinton's concupiscence were the proximate cause of the death of thousands of American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, not to mention many other happenings of the last eight years.
