2008 The Republican Party Bus
posted by November 4 at 14:02 PM
onDemocrats are the only ones having fun tonight. The Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Marcia McCraw, just called. She’s going to the Republican’s party at the Bellevue Hyatt. But, because that should be real fun, she’s planning to jet over to The Stranger’s party at the Showbox at 9:15 p.m. in a rented party bus.
“It’s a 24-passenger bus and I’m putting a banner on it,” says McCraw. She says the coach, in red-state fashion, will be stocked with wine and Bud Light. Last time we got a call from McCraw, an extremely unconventional Republican, she was on a road race through Mexico.
But does McCraw have a Democrat’s chance in Oklahoma of winning against incumbent Brad Owen? “I think I’m still a long shot but I have a chance,” McCraw says. Raising money was hard, she says, because Owen had all the funding sources sewn up. “I consider myself a very good fund raiser, but I just hit a wall wherever I looked.”

I voted for her, and I hope she wins! She's definitely someone i'd have a beer with.
Minnesota reporting a closer race than expected.
Bradley Effect apparently going strong in this "Strong Dem" state.
Suggest readers go to Obama's page and start phonebanking battleground states.
She is a Mc Cain supporter - who in their right political mind cares about her mental problems?
Let's talk good progressive politic and not look back except with PITY and SCORN.
That is all they deserve. The lady is playing a game, a sad sad game .... with your life in her grinder. Move on.
Bless you, crazy lady.
Zak: Brad Owen is the conservative on social issues. It's sad the Republican is more progressive in this race, but we've got to get Brad Owen out of office. His #1 issue is escalating the drug war.
I'm sure McCraw will lose but I hope she sticks around in future elections. The GOP needs to run tolerant candidates like her and Leslie Bloss if they want to compete in this state.
Is that a picture of the Straight Talk Express?
I'm not surprised it has wine - that's the drink of the Red Party.
