Exactly. If McCain had such a big problem with those smears, he would have shut it down immediately, at least if he's as strong a leader as he'd like people to believe. Since he didn't, he gets to take the blame for it.
I am soooo tired of all this whining on Slog about oppressed "minorities" such as gays, blacks and women. No one on Slog ever says anything about the most truly oppressed minority of all, namely, my own. That is, white male fundamentalist Christian conservative heterosexuals. Sock puppet or no, when you can articulate some actual rights your oppressed majority currently doesn't have, that other minorities DO, then we'll see about standing up for them.
