Wow, um, what an amazing photo...
Been trying to view these all morning, but Flickr keeps crashing.
Love it. This is an interesting interpretation of transparency in government.
I'm reminded of the episodes of the West Wing where Bartlet entered places through the back, basements etc.
I've only been able to see the first page. There are some really great shots there... I love the ones with him with his feet up. I'm sure that was the first time in awhile that he was just able to relax. As much as one can relax when you know you are about to give a speech seen around the world, I guess.
Some great photos.
I have to say that was a horrible choice for a dress. She should never, ever, wear a dress on stage that looks like it is splattered in blood. Totally freaked me out when the camera first showed her.
Am I the only one struck by how subdued Obama and his family appear in these photos even after he was announced the winner...?
They're not even smiling!
@6: i made it better by imagining it was Cindy McCain's blood.
I remember thinking...after it was called and before they went on..."what are they DOING right now? Can you just imagine what that would be like?"
And here's some insight. HOW COOOOL!
@7 Barack's grandmother, who raised him, died the day before. I can't imagine going through the 24 hours that family went through before that speech. It does not get any more real than that.
John @ #10: My thoughts exactly. Bittersweet.
thank you thank you thank you for posting this! I never would have even thought to look.
If I had cameras on me at all hours, the urge to scratch my balls would become unendurable.
It's gonna be nice to have a President that doesn't have so much to hide.
