You know what's fun? When you take a Rorshach test, every time they show you a new blot, squint at it and say "I see the ghost of my father coming to rape and kill me." Big laughs!

You can reach a point when a graph just tries too hard, and you end up with a giant blotch that doesn't look like anything. Any graph that requires that much explanation is probably not helpful.

Keep in mind, the text is what conveys the critical information about where the votes are. The final purple and blue and red blotch at the end just restates that.

A good graph would have communicated the idea first without needing all those words.

Awesome. I was trying to make my own cartogram, but my skillz are nillz. This is so much better. I like it when they run through a range of different ways to look at the same data; it's so much more multidimensional that way.

I'll bet the IQ map looks about the same.

Interesting how the blue is mostly convex blobs, while the red is the spider-web inbetween. Provokes a sense of motion, like the red is just the remnants of the old guard that is slowly being squeezed out by expanding new ideas.

Or maybe that's just what I want to see :)

Just beautiful.

Despite the assertion by #9, and as I asked earlier; when can we expect an update on the urban archipelago article/philosophy?
