Terry Bergeson Concedes in School Superintendent Race

posted by on November 6 at 17:13 PM

From the News Tribune:

Terry Bergeson just called to say she’d decided to concede the state Superintendent of Public Instruction race to challenger Randy Dorn.

Bergeson, a former Tacoma schools teacher and counselor and onetime president of the Washington Education Association, said she called Dorn after seeing the latest vote count. She now trails 51.25 percent to 48.75 percent.

“All my pals have said, ‘Wait it out, wait it out,’ ” she said. “But those numbers are not getting better.”

And PETER GOLDMARK has been declared the winner of the Land Commissioner race. If you care about the environment and the responsible stewardship of our public lands and tidelands, give a big cheer!

Once again: God I hated the WASL, and I was one of those dorks on the math team - we did math tests with trick questions for fun.

Hell yeah #2! Goldmark is the best! And I'm so happy he beat that douche who accepts campaign contributions from logging companies and sexually harasses his employees. Sutherland = big tool

@4 yes those are way funnier but the difference is that the people taking those exams weren't elected to be the superintendent of public instruction for the state of washington....

Terry's loss is real shame. I don't think Dorn has the skills or experience to continue our forward momentum through this economy. Well, guess that means his buddy Dwight Pelz has a job and we get a competent State Chair!

This has got to be all for the good. Apparently, she had no idea that there was a top side to each stack.
Penny would have been let go as was Terry.
