On First Avenue, Mohamad Burale, a cab driver from Ethiopia, celebrates Obama’s victory:
While others dance on the roofs of cars:
And wave flags:
And gather at First and Pike in a massive throng:
I celebrated hard here in Atlanta for a couple of hours.
Now I'm biting my nails at the fact that Prop 8 is leading in the polls.
Tomorrow won't nearly be as good as tonight.
happy mobs RULE!!!
I got some great shots of the people swarming from the Showbox to First Ave. to Pike St. It was a tearful, joyous night.
The first picture above has me cryin' for joy.
can burale hang out in fremont? we don't want to use any other cabbies!!!
