State-by-State Predictions

posted by on November 3 at 10:37 AM

Here’s a very interesting, very thorough run-down from Chuck Todd of NBC. His Washington State prediction:

Washington: Looking for a bright spot on E-night for the GOP? It could be in this state’s governor’s race, where Republican Dino Rossi is hoping to revenge his close ‘04 loss to Christine Gregoire. Right now, Gregoire is trying to ride Obama’s coattails to victory; it could very well be enough. Tip: Democrats are worried they won’t be able to win a House seat that on paper should be theirs in a year like this, the 8th District.

LOL.

Talk about wishful thinking.

It's a big secret, but the reality is they're looking at losing two more US Representatives in WA, including Doc Hastings, and they're on the wrong side of the knife on the Gov's race.

Could it happen?

Sure, if Dems don't vote.

But they ARE. In massive numbers - in fact, most of them already HAVE VOTED.

Isn't "avenge" the proper verb?

I am expecting that Rossi will win on Tuesday. (Which sucks since I voted for Gregiore, reluctantly but still voted for her)

If she does loose it would be a good lesson for the Washington State Democrats that they need to run energizing candidates for office unlike the Locke's or the Gregiores of the world who have the same excitement level as wallpaper paste.

BTW, what has Gregiore done besides be a Democrat the past four years?

@3: Plenty of good, except, as you pointed out, she didn't make an effort to connect to voters.

Her literal calendar is full of closed-door this and closed-door that. Her metaphoric calendar should include "Parent Teacher Day at Yakima Elementary in Yakima" and "Salmon Days in Ballard".

@3 Loose is a word you would use to describe a slut.

Lose is the opposite of win.

Why these two races aren't a no-brainer is pissing me off. The nation may be better off with Obama, but we'll be stuck here in more lanes of shitty traffic with shitty health care and shitty schools.

In particular, I wish Gregoire hadn't run such a Dukakis-like campaign.

Gross. Can someone please re-word that 'Tip' sentence?
