Shouldn’t You Wait for the Election?

posted by on November 3 at 15:29 PM

I can’t believe this exists already:

Assholes%21Assholes%21.jpg

I know “impeachment” isn’t just for presidents, but it’s good to know the machines are already being greased up. There’s an online petition for people to sign, too. I’m afraid to look and see how many people have already signed it.

About 6,000 people have signed this.

About 14,000 people have signed a petition to get the Jonas Brothers on the Tyra Banks Show.

Nice try, people. Meanwhile, stay tuned for the investigation and eventual trial of Bush, Cheney, and the rest of their neo-con buddies for ACTUAL war crimes.

Okay, try to impeach him! Bring it ON!!!

Some freaks in this country have never learned impeachment is a POLITICAL weapon NOT a criminal investigation activity. Unless the Republicans pick up a majority in the House and 67 seats in the US Senate; it is a waste of time.

I feel like I'm missing something vital here, because although I understand that these people want to impeach Obama, I can't seem to discover what exactly they want to impeach Obama for . . . I mean, "We don't know enough about him!" really doesn't cut it.

Bob "B-1" Dornan wanted to do the same thing to Clinton before Bill took the oath of office. This does not surprise me.

5600. And like the last poster said, I'd wager at least half are bogus.

Okay, okay, I'm sorry, but after the disasterous results of the criminal Bush/Cheney regime--if THOSE FOLKS can't be effectively impeached, then we should just ammend the Constitution to rid us of this worthless and toothless and useless remedy.

Oh, except to prevent lies about adultery.

Oh, Mike in Renton, you are so funny, you funny, funny guy, you.

But on a more serious note, everyone who has a brain knows that Obama would be nowhere without Hillary's supporters who are backing him at this point, so just a reminder to have some respect for everyone that is voting Obama and thereby making this happen.

Looks like "vetted" is 2008's "chav". I understand the reasons these buzzwords are lifted from obscurity by the media, but it's fun to see everyday, Joe-the-fucking-Moron use them too.

I will be shocked, SHOCKED! if the Dems actually get around to even starting an investigation into the Bush/Cheney fiasco. I'm about as lefty as it gets and I'm pissed at Pelosi and Dean for their bullshit dodge of the issue after the last election.

If the law was broken, enforce it! You can't just decide to let shit slide because of "party unity" or some crap. Maybe Bush was super deft and didn't *really* break the law, but just bent it, fine, but that's what an investigation is for. If you don't investigate, you'll never know.

Selective enforcement of the law = No respect for the law.

This is why I hate the democrats, they don't have any balls. They could have chosen Dean in 2004 and won, but no, they had to go with the "safe" pick/ They could have started an investigation immediately after the last election, but they didn't. Kucinich was the only one to even broach the subject and everybody did their best to put distance them.

I don't care if it drives a wedge between the parties, and deadlocks the legislature, I want justice! If Bush broke the law, let him have his day in court, and rot in prison if guilty. To do otherwise means you do not value our system of law, and therefor hate america. There I said it, it's our patriotic duty to arrest that motherfucker in the white house.

Just off the top of my head here's what they should be looking into.

1. Knowingly appointing unqualified persons to positions where their incompetence led to deaths of innocent people (katrina). I don't know if this is actually impeachable, but it has GOT to be against some law somewhere.

2. Knowingly declaring war based on known false or dubious evidence.

3. Questionable aderement to international treaties (geneva conventions, violating soverency of foreign nations, extraordinary renditions, turning Saddam back over to the puppet gov. we helped create rather than turn him over to the Hague)

4. Take your pick of all the examples of cronyism too. (Attorney firings, Oil regulators scandal, no-bid contracts, etc.)

Maybe they won't find anything, maybe they will, but at least look into it. Please.

Dear Mike in Renton, sho's not from Canada, and everyone else:

this is no joke.

Obama as president likely will enrage enough total fucking right wing nuts that:
a) there will be plots. Sorry to say, but you know there will be. And:

b) there will be attempts to lie, discredit, impeach, smear, steal the election, impeach etc.

So fuckin' A better get fucking ready to oppose all this bullshit with standing up fo American values of fair play, peaceful demonstrations against that kind of bullshit, and most of all:

STAYING ACTIVE AND ORGANIZED.

Here's why you know I am for real and folks like mr. e. etc. are just little babies.

Look at the history of the world.

All progressive change is met with violence and illegal tactics.

Like "destabilizing" Allende. Run right of the CIA.

Like destabilizing the vote count here in the USA in 2000. What with the pseduo "riots" of GOPsters outside the VP mansion and outside FL electoral counting boards, etc.

Gave the Supreme Court a good excuse to steal the election, didn't it?

Well guess what. Somewhere, somehow there's going to be more of that shit coming.

So stop the dreaming that we win and it's over on election day in fact on that day the fight shall only have just begun.

Be wary. Be ready. Most of all be ORGANIZED.

And that means you, too, mr. e. We epxect to see you leading the peaceful demonstrations supporting Obama and democracy, ok?

Unity--

How many days until Bush et al are dragged before the Hague for their war crimes?

January 20th is way too far away ...

They have 5,000 signatures but if you peruse the last page or two you'll quickly see that much of it is a joke--

some signatures include "Yosemite Sam" "Eat Shit and Die, you Racist Fucks" and "Repubs Suck" and "Joe Plumber" and "John Sydney McCain."

It's not worth getting angry, just add your own cleverly made up name to the list.

I love this part:

So, what can you as an average caring citizen do:

If you do not know the real Obama, spend some time to
get the facts. The main Stream Media has done a poor job
of covering Senator Obama. Read the petition and ask questions.
You may have to do a lot of digging. The Obama Campaign has
spent millions to distort and hide information on the internet.

That old Stream Media sure is bad. It just streams all over everything. The mainstream media however? I like it!
