onSeattle Police are swarming the Central District after receiving reports of gunfire near 27th and Jackson, about a half-mile away from where 15-year-old Quincy Coleman was shot and killed last Friday.
Witnesses say a passenger in an SUV exchanged gunfire with another man on the street.
SPD spokesman Mark Jamieson says it doesn’t appear anyone was injured.
Update: Central District News has info on ANOTHER shooting on 19th and Main.

Seattle: the Baltimore of the West.
Don't people use fists any more?
I jog through there often and the last few times there were groups of guys on both sides of the street clearly in a stand-off type situation with the cops waiting close by. None of this surprises me. I think I'm going to change my route though.
Worst intersection in the city, crime-wise. I often wonder what else the SPD can do there, considering police presence in the area appears to be high and consistent already.
I'm not worried because my posse's on Broadway.
Greg Nichols to gangs: Job well done.
Now I can keep buying the real estate around the light rail for cheap.
More bullets at the arcade if you need 'em.
@2 Wow.
Thank goodness I was only lying on my back in the middle of E. Union St., pinned down by my errant scooter at about that same time - things are getting fucking DANGEROUS out here.
Although given my comparatively minor njuries, I have to say, SPD response was very quick!
Guess it helps when they're already in the neighborhood...
From CDNews:
5:29PM - 18th & Union - Accident - A man is down in the roadway. Appears to be a car vs. bicyclist accident. Medics on the way. Male, 50, conscious & alert.
Glad you're okay, Comte.
GODDAMNIT! I TOLD them - I JUST turned 48!
And it was a SCOOTER!!
Oh well, at least they got the "conscious and alert" part right.
And thanks NaFun. Nothing large quantities of whisky can't deaden...
