First a black president, and now… a black Wonder Woman?!

A token minor character is not the same as the lead. It's rather insulting, really. At least Neo didn't have a black sidekick who died.

Wonder Woman is an Amazon (technically in the DC comic, a clay golem sculpted by the Amazon Queen Hypolyta, who breathed life into her creation).
Amazons in myth were supposedly were Scythian in origin, so Hypolyta would probably have sculpted her "daughter" to appear Turkish, Persian or possibly Slavic. Also, Amazons in myth cut off their right breast to aid their archery skills...
Hypolyta schmypolyta...yeah, it's time for a black chick to play wonder woman. it'd be cool and new. why the hell not?

Because some people have interest in the story itself, and if you take away any interest in who her family are / what her culture is, she's just Some Chick in Tights?
I'm pretty sure there's some Slavic-or Middle-Eastern-looking actresses who'd be better suited to portray the actual personality of the role than Beyonce, too.
Fuck you Beyonce. Either play an existing black superhero or create a new one. Wonder Woman is white. Storm is black.
