With 100,000 early absentee votes counted in each county, the mass transit expansion measure had 61 percent and 56 percent in King and Snohomish Counties, respectively; although Pierce County hadn't yet reported any results, mass-transit campaign volunteers tell the SECB they needed about 45 percent of Pierce County votes if King and Snohomish Counties had gone for the measure by smaller margins. It's still too soon to declare victory for Sound Transit and mass transit in this region, but right now, the numbers look pretty good....
