I snagged the last Seattle Times and one of the last PIs from in front of my work as soon as I got in. I thought about going over to Bulldog and getting one of every paper I could find, but I'm probably not the only one, and they're probably all gone already.

Front page of the Wall Street Journal (when will my subscription finally end) today has Obama's face and "Obama sweeps to historic victory".

A coworker just went to four places in the U. District, and all were sold out of NY Times issues. Including Bulldog. I finally found one at a gas station for her, though, so she's happy!

At 6:30 this morning, I rolled out of bed and grabbed the third-to-last PI and Times from in front of the Fuel on 19th. Both boxes were out shortly thereafter.

I posted this last night in a comment, but it is worth sharing again:

I just walked through several neighborhoods in San Francisco at 9:30 AM, and not a SF Chronicle, NY Times, or even a god damn USA Today left in the whole city!

Downtown, there are extra newspaper salespeople out. I just saw a bunch of people buying multiple copies from a guy on the corner of Washington and Wacker.

We scored! Got copies of NYT, WSJ, Seattle Times and PI. My husband raced down to the Starbuck's in the neighborhood and snagged 'em when he got up this morning. In the Starbuck's, as he was waiting to pay for them, he overheard a woman say to the man she was with, "Did you get a paper today?" and he replied, "Oh, God, NO! I can't stand to look at it. I'm going to avoid the paper for a few more days."

I'm sure it's because we're in Bellevue. Come on over to the Eastside and grab a few!

It was the same on the South Side. By 8am there were no newspapers anywhere. I managed to get a Sun Times, but the Tribune and the NY Times were totally cleaned out - and I looked. I passed by one woman furiously trying to get a paper out of an apparently broken Tribune box on the street after it took her money. Even the Red Eyes were almost all gone.
