One "riot-like activity" started by the police in Arkansas.
(applause)
No riots because the guy who draws 100,000+ people to his rallies won the election, and the guy who draws only 1,000 white guys lost.
If McCain had stolen the election, then all hell would've broken loose (I hope).
Does this mean that you will stop listening to the ridiculously shrill, hyperbolic, and unsupported pronouncements of Naomi Wolf?
yea ... it's amazing what happens when you actually involve people in the process.
Again, kudos o the SPD for doing their jobs professionally last night and for their discretion at people who were bending the laws all in the name of excitement, relief, and overall happiness.
@3
obviously you overlooked this chick ... (on the right hand side in the first photo)
i was genuinely worried about riots in the event of a mccain victory. now it all seems pretty ridiculous, mccain never had a chance.
@3 for the win.
The riots were if they had the Supreme Court of the Company-that-used-to-be-Diebold steal the election.
America's back - and the rule of law and our Constitution too!
gay people need to fucking riot.
Naomi Wolf is a hack.
The streets of SF were crazy last night. It was the closest thing to V-E day I'll probably see in my lifetime (barely compares, I know, I know).
Police shut down the street leading from my neighborhood to the Castro (just a few block over), heard there was a bit of an uproar there. Haven't read any morning coverage though.

Maybe that warm/fuzzy feeling is over-powering, but reading between the lines that sounds a lot like "Large group in the streets, riot? No, just happy people. Police proceed to smile too."
This was the only 'told you so' I let loose. I knew there would not be.
