It's a beautiful day here in MN, too.

Well, we all know how both sides feel about enduring the weather when it matters: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marlene-h-phillips/obama-addresses-crowd-in_b_138668.html

It only took me 2 hours and some change to get to work via the bus due to traffic on I-5.

I'm gonna look for a new place by light-rail, screw this lol

I need help! My husband told me this morning he wants to vote Obama-Rossi! I need information to show him this is a terrible idea. I already brought up the choice issue, but he doesn't think the governor has any control over that. Any ideas?

Tell him that governor's offices are launching pads to national offices, where Rossi *would* have an impact on choice issues. Also, access to birth control, morning-after pills, sex education—these are all "choice issues" that the governor DOES have control over.

@6 - ECB wrote a fantastic article about this very issue a couple of weeks ago. It can be found here. Print it out and make him read it!

No Rossi!! Tell your husband voting for Rossi will undermine every good thing Obama wants to accomplish. He's a progressive Democrat, Rossi is a regressive conservative who'll work against every issue Obama wants to enact. I was angry at Gregoire myself about her Viaduct stance, but I see the good she's accomplished also. The independent Pew research gave her an A- as Govenor. Dont believe the Rossi distortions. A vote for rossi undermine a vote for Obama!! Vote Gregoire!!

Thanks for the advice! I emailed him several links including the ECB article. He waited until this morning to tell me this, because he knew I would be fighting with him about it if I knew beforehand! We are voting around lunchtime, I hope he reads this stuff beforehand.

@6

You think it's a terrible idea, but you need information as to why? Brilliant!

Good job! He'll be proud that his wife has to consult others to argue her opinions. Another vote for Gregoire, coming right up!

I got to fill out my ballot while coasting a Halloween Candy Sugar High, and with beer. Vote By Mail Rocks!! Why in the hell wouldn't everybody be doing this?!? Why can't you people out there adopt a Vote by Mail system?!? You've all taken on some version or another of "The Oregon System", for initiatives and referenda, why not follow in our footsteps for this most convenient of voting systems? And I bet it is cheaper for the State, too!!!

#16: I hear you. I was excited to go to the polls today, and I went to the school and there was a huge line. I'm going later in the day. I used to like the ritual of going to the polls, but I'm happy we are going to mail in for the next election.
