I'm somewhere in the front, holding Monique and crying like a little bitch with a skinned knee.

I don't remember you throwing anything on the crowd.

By the time I made it there from work around 6:30, they weren't allowing anyone else in. I brought jam and everything. Boo.

Dan, I'm not sure, but I think I heard you say something dangerously close to Reverend Wright's "God damn America." Ha ha.

My SO and I were at home here in Baltimore enjoying the night together. This so beats 2004.

Thanks for the props to Prop 1, ECB.

I hope you whooped it up when you heard.

I started crying just looking at the video.... Dan, good to see you hopping up and down like a kid...

Who is the completely opportunistic tone-deaf idiot that ran to the middle of the stage to jump up and down?

When is this shit going to stop? Seriously. I'm thrilled to death that he won, but I swear to God, one more of these fucking posts and I'm going to seriously lose my shit.

Quit acting like a goddamned bunch of 11 year olds already. The world is still fucked, in too many ways to count. It's a start, yes. But we are still light years away. So all this "we are one" and - even worse - "I got SO fucking hammered" last night shit makes you look like a dim witted herd indeed.

I was in tears, they wouldn't stop. Me, Poe, and Abby hugged and jumped around while the guy from ABC stood around looking 'too cool' for us.

Great video!

That ACB guy didn't lose that expression once. Not even after Obama won. He looked bored the entire night. Even when Savage went to talk to him, he looked like he just wanted to be left alone. Must've been a McCain supporter, m-hm.

@8: After 2004, folks were despondent and morose for a solid week. Let us have a full 24 hours to savor this, Grumpelstiltskin, and then we can go back to stressing out about the state of the world. Sheesh.

I'll always remember being there; the dark ages are over!

Last night I almost felt the same euphoria as I did for Edgar's series-winning double in '95. Almost, but not quite.

the dark ages are over?

I thought the same thing the night Clinton won. After iving through 12 years of reagan and bush it seemed that everything was going to change. Some things did, but to quote tim robbins, clinton was the first republican I ever voted for.

Let me clarify as Stink makes a good point; The Dark ages of Gay Americans being invisible to the President while addressing the nation are over. THOSE dark ages are over. Did that help?

YAAAY! So glad there's video of this.

Because I was simultaneously screaming and sobbing so hard I couldn't see. Some nice person put champagne in my hand. Bless them. LOL

"Congratulations, we fucking saved this goddamned country!"

Let's fucking hope so.

@ 10, Mr. Poe: "He (the ABC Guy) looked bored the entire night. Even when Savage went to talk to him, he looked like he just wanted to be left alone."

Wow... how is that possible? Someone didn't fall all over themselves for Dan?

I love Dan Savage, but y'all are getting hard to stomach. Bye Slog.
