Read through the commentary in the Fox story referenced in that thread. If you look from newest to oldest, the "cream (aka asshats)" have really risen to the top, however look old to new and the majority of the commenters offer condolences, and as the unhinged bunch shows up, they are roundly condemned.

Yes it's awful, but I hesitate to say it's a barometer on the entirety of the conservative state of mind. If anything, it sure is a good example to reference when trying to explain how the "extremists" are coloring the perception of the lot.

In fact, I think I'll be using that example in future conversations with the far right father. And I'm going to be so very glad when that (asshattery) as a campaign technique/political promise is condemned for the steamy lump it is.
