I Want This Book

posted by on November 11 at 15:00 PM

Hang Fire Books just put this cover up on their blog:

I’m a big fan of Second Coming novelsóOnly Begotten Daughter by James Morrow is a particular favorite, and this one looks cheesily delicious. If any used bookstores in town have this on their shelf right now and available for purchase, please let me know. I will love you forever.

UPDATE: Bookstoregirl, in the comments, found the book and had it put on hold for me at Twice Sold Tales. I just dragged my lazy ass to the bookstore and bought it. In conclusion, I will love both Bookstoregirl and Twice Sold Tales Forever.

Hah - I read that when I was a teen. I remember nothing, except I do believe it was cheesily delicious.

The cover makes it look like the romance novel version of The Fountainhead.

Only Begotten Daughter is one of my all-time favorites. It was one of the first books I ordered when I joined the SciFi Book Club.

How did the '70s have such awful fashions yet such awesome book covers and movie posters?

Wow. I read this book when I was 13. It was very entertaining, to a 13 year old.
