Re: Our New Internet-Powered Administration

I hope whoever’s been in charge of Obama’s websites gets to take a whack at the entire government’s web presence. It’d be great if every time you wanted to get information from the United States online, it was this easy and attractive. Also, it’s a great relief to go to a website ending in .gov and see this:

Listed as the government’s agenda.

I suppose in the interests of being bipartisan we don't see "Cleaning up GWB's huge mess"

Nice well put together website.

While it was great to see all of the thought that went into making it look good and work well and is is cheering to see such things as: We found 31 results for “african american”

Such a pity it also has things like this in it: We found 0 results for “gay”, We found 0 results for “lesbian”.

What does it say that one of the largest sub-groups within the society and one which overwhelmingly (according to the polls) supported him and Biden gets these sorts of results.

Gay rights are kind of on the bottom of the list in terms of first-things-first for this administration. I know you all would like to be number one, but we have more pressing matters than marriage rights when it comes to the national level.

I clicked on "more issues" and I'm not seeing my Taco Bell problem anywhere.

I found it, Mr. Poe.

It's under "First Dog" - about the choice between a Chihuahua and a Dalmation.

I would like to see "What we intend to do when the rising waters claim our coastal cities" on that list. Oh, well. Maybe later.

Yes it would be gresat if Pres. Obama really looked into all that and actually did it.

Not to mention finally releasing all papers on history of CIA/USA crimes agaisnt Iran, Guatemala, that guy in S. Vietnam, Allende etc. Who knows, maybe right wing CIA roge agents did in JFK told Hoover who told LBJ....then LBJ did nothing and took his turn as president....I can't imagine why such a power hungry man wouldn't run again in 1968....perhaps we will finally learn a lot of things.

But yes just starting with a real investigation of the Gonzelez Cheney Bush torture 'n' int'l crimes of agression gang would be a good start...
