Fun With Photoshop

This and many more sci-fi and fantasy book titles edited for truth at Mighty God King here, here, and here.

Many of these are very funny if you spent your teen years reading sci-fi and fantasy. But the second collection of these, when linked on BoingBoing, took down his server and rendered his site inactive for at last a week. They’re not that funny. (Although I have a special place in my heart for Knights Who Say “Fuck” and It Sure Would Be Cool if Your D&D Game Was for Really Real.)

'A Tale of Five Million Experience Points' was the one I probably laughed the hardest at. Which shows what sort of a dork I am.

Anne McCaffrey's Mary Sue Gets a Dragon made me laugh.

I'm vaguely embarrassed by how many of these I read in junior high and high school.

Robert Jordan's Characters Show Up was good too, although I wish it had been the cover from The Dragon Reborn with the title Mars and Venus on an Epic Quest.

My Little Pony Goes to War was pretty sweet, but I'm embarrassed by how many of these I read and own.

"Characters Show Up", "Dogshit", "Stop with This One, You'll Be Better Off", and "Child Porn is Acceptable in Some Cultures" were pretty awesome, too.

LOLZ@ "Elric in Opposite World".

I was slightly depressed at how many I didn't know. Although being aware of some of them helped.

Needed more Sci-Fi...

I've read over half those books, and recognize almost all of the rest.

I'm sure I should feel very ashamed by that.

Thanks, Paul! As both a SF/F bookseller AND full time geek, nearly every one of those made me laugh. However, I won't say how many I've actually read.

The Stephenie Meyer was especially dear to my cynical jaded bookseller's heart.

Man, I loved Mary Sue Gets a Dragon when I was in middle school.

The Illuminatus trilogy cover is by far the funniest. A distant second is the Fat Fuck cover.

Wow.... too funny.

Thanks for the election distraction.

I loved A Canticle for Leibowitz but I never did get the Wandering Jew. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was confused.
