In my old neighborhood in Ann Arbor I used to go out periodically with one of my gardening tools to clear the drain when it got clogged. It gave me great satisfaction to watch the water finally drain. The end.

Do people need to ask why Elliot Bay is the dead zone it is? That sludge eventually finds its way into the Bay and the aquatic food chain. Alas poor Orcas we knew them well...

Now if they could unclog the drain at the cross on Broadway @ Republican or Harrison - can never remember which - across from Starbucks, kitty corner from the Pilgrim Church - it's a veritable Veronica.
