Hope it was a McCain / Rossi voter who jumped.

Change that heading to "Substantiated" rumors... (From the P-I:)

Several lanes closed on Aurora bridge due to possible suicide attempt

P-I Staff

Seattle police closed down several lanes of traffic on the Aurora Avenue Bridge Monday as a man threatened to jump from the railing.

The man had been on the bridge for about 40 minutes and as of 7:50 a.m., he had not jumped, police spokeswoman Renee Witt said.

Several police cars were positioned on the bridge. Firefighters were staging for a possible rescue.

One southbound lane of traffic remained closed while all northbound lanes were open, Witt said.

Crap. Sure wish I had seen this 5 minutes ago before I got on the 358 when I could still have taken the 355. Oh well . . .

Why didn't you just call 911 to ask why traffic was backed up?

Wasn't there a proposed anti-jumper fence for Aurora? It would have come in handy this morning.

A coworker saw the guy jump. I wasn't at work yet, as I was stuck in the traffic for 2 hours.

@9, @13 - A poor desperate person on a bridge and a terminally-ill patient are far from the same situation. Conflating them, by making this post an argument for I-1000, is not helpful to the pro I-1000 cause. Really.
