onHoly fucking shit! Everything is going the way it’s supposed to!
The first ballot drop of the night has Governor Gregoire a narrow lead over Dino Rossi: 50.85% to 49.15%
Darcy Burner has 56% of the vote.
Tim Eyman’s I-985 is going down in flames with only 39% of the vote.
I-1000 has come alive with a whopping 74% of voters approving the measure.
At the local level, Pike Place is at 59%, Parks is at 57% and Sound Transit is passing in King and Snohomish counties with 62% and 55% respectively. Pierce County has yet to post any results.
The only Republicans winning tonight: Doug “Bathing Suit Area” Sutherland who’s up 51.41% to 48.59% and female-to-male transexual Rob McKenna, who has 59% of the vote.
There’s another ballot drop in about 5 minutes and we’ll update again when we get the new numbers.

When you repost remember for the sake of your lovely description of McKenna, "transsexual" does have two esses. Essssessss. Whee!
It looks like prop 8 may pass in California... I'm freaking the fuck out.
Prop 8 will be a nail-biter, unfortunately. Looks like african americans were against equal rights for gays by a 69-31% margin, which probably hurts Prop 8's chances, given their higher turnout (than average) this election. Way to go oppressed minority!
But only 29% of precincts in CA have reported, and generally they tend to be the less populated precincts (read: rural/Republican/conservative). There's still a good chance for Prop 8.
Would be a sad coda to an otherwise great day. Especially considering the other states have succeeded in passing gay marriage bans (Florida looks to have done so as well).
The latest drop from Pierce county shows Sound Transit baaaaaarely passing by like 300 votes...

Yes, definitely, you should work to accentuate that wedge between blacks and gays. Fan the flames! Thanks for doing your part.
Kay Hagan still makes me more happy than anything except, of course "that one". One new governor. 5-8 new Senate seats (probably 6-7). 25ish new House seats. I am going to bed happy...
To Dino Rossi, Tim Eyman, and the knuckle-draggers of my state:
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA, and, oh yeah, one more thing: HA-FUCKING HA!!
